This will eventually be part of a trilogy known as "Sweep of Time", containing Alpha Centauri, Civilization III, and one additional game that has not been decided on. Sid Meier will most likely be designing the unnamed future game, and Brian Reynolds will be working on Civilization III. When asked when Civilization III will come out, Brian Reynolds responded: "Sometime in the third millenium." Both games will be published by Electronic Arts.
